I’m very excited for the opportunity to help teach the art of Puppetry to kids ages 8 – 10 during a Puppet Camp being held at the Art Reach of Mid Michigan from Monday, March 31 until Friday, April 3 between the times of 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. During this week-long course, participants will design and build their own puppets and then learn how to perform with their puppets. This includes lip sync, arm control, character development, and script writing.
Then, the week will culminate on Friday, April 3 with a live performance inside the Broadway Theater in Mount Pleasant.
This is a great class for kids who have an interest in puppetry or the theater, or are fans of the Muppets and are curious about how they are performed. Puppetry opens up the door for creative expression, problem solving, eye-hand coordination, and storytelling.
