I’m eagerly anticipating the day that my new Klanker robot puppet arrives either on my door step or inside my Post Office Box, and I’m able to try him out for the first time. In the meantime, I’m trying to decide if I’ll record a video when I open his package, and I’m thinking about some of the ways that I could incorporate him into future skits.
It occurred to me that there will probably be other puppet enthusiasts who will be receiving their Klanker, and some will record videos with their new purchase. So, why not compile all of those videos into one place where someone can watch them at once?
Fortunately, the app that I’ve been building, called ShowRunner, makes that easy to do. I’ve launched a show on ShowRunner called “Meet Klanker” in which all of the videos will appear. The videos will be organized into episodes (in case there’s more than, say, ten) so they can play together in a sequence.
I set the first episode to air on May 4, coincidentally Star Wars Day. That leaves enough time for the first Klankers to arrive in the mail, mine included.
This is where I’m asking for everybody’s help. If you do happen to record a box opening, or you experiment with a video of your Klanker talking to the camera, please upload your video to YouTube and submit it to be included as a part of a compilation on ShowRunner. Here are the steps:
- Upload your video to YouTube. You can publish it either publicly, or privately.
- Submit the link to your video using this form: https://forms.gle/fcX5npTKUoGzthoZ6
- I will add the videos to the “Meet Klanker” episodes as room allows
- Visit https://showrunner.base44.app/watch/show/69e3c19455ecd6a8a150c6b1 on or around May 4 to see the first episode.
